A Meaningful Afternoon Of Connection In Irvine

After an incredible first day at the California Mortgage Expo, we had the opportunity to continue the conversations at our Mortgage Women Meet Up in Irvine — and I truly couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who showed up to support the Mortgage Women’s Council community.

Executive Director Melissa Pianin, and Advisory Board Members Elizabeth Mix and Shelby Fennewald take a break from the busy expo and join each other on the patio.

What made the evening so special wasn’t just the networking, although there was certainly plenty of that. It was the genuine connections being made throughout the room. Seeing women from across the mortgage industry come together to share experiences, support one another, build new relationships, and welcome new members into the community was incredibly rewarding.

New Council members Dalia Rhule and Stephanie Abercrombie pose with the Meet Up sign after joining.

One of my favorite parts of these events is watching conversations happen naturally between people who may not have crossed paths otherwise. Whether it was discussing business, leadership, career growth, or simply connecting with others who understand the unique experiences of working in this industry, the energy in the room was exactly what MWLC is all about.

Shelby Fennewald takes a quick break from networking to tune into her son's game.

Thank you again to everyone who came out and made the evening such a success. Your support continues to help us grow this community into a space where women in mortgage can connect, collaborate, and continue building one another up.

Had to stop and grab a quick selfie with my new friend Emily Carra from RCN Capital!

And because of the amazing support from the California originators who joined us, we’re extending our $5 off membership offer for a limited time. Use code CALI5 to join the community.
